8 Entire Months

Today Oliver is 8 months old. I never imagined time could pass this quickly! Today started out like any other Friday around 6:45 with milkies, fruit and cereal. Mom gave the milk and Dad fed the cereal. Brent is such an amazing Dad in that he gets up most mornings of the week to help me get Oliver ready to leave after working until 11:00 the night before. I would never make it to work on time without him!

At the sitter's house Oliver played with his friends, ate some good food, and practiced his sitting skills. I picked him up around 4:00 and we headed over to visit  with Kelli, Doug, and Daniel for a few hours. Once we were home Oliver had a bath, drank his milkies, brushed his teeth, and went to bed. After about half an hour of squealing with Mr. Giraffe from his crib, he was sound asleep. What a great 8 month birthday!

Some Oliver facts for month 8:

  • He's wearing 6-9 month clothes. I think he'll be in these for a while because the 12-month ones are huge on him!
  • He weighs right around 19 pounds.
  • He can sit up on his own, but still needs a spotter.
  • Mr. Giraffe is still his favorite "sleep toy", though he only needs him when sleeping in his crib at home.
  • He loves jumping in his Jumperoo, playing in his Exersaucer, laying under the play gym, and rolling around on Mom and Dad's bed.
  • He cries when he sees his bottle and it is not in his mouth.
  • He loves to take off his shoes and socks then put them in his mouth.
  • When you whisper in his ear or look at his reflection in the mirror he laughs.
  • His laugh is adorable and contagious- it makes me cackle too!
We are so thankful for an amazing, healthy, happy baby boy!
