Though I don't have any pictures to share today, I do have a few cute stories. Don't worry... pictures will be coming later this week! We have quite a few "photo opps" planned already!
Oliver continues to love singing! His favorites are "Twinkle, Twinkle", The ABC Song, "The Itsy Bitsy Spider", and "Where is Thumbkin?". Yesterday on the way to school we sang these, along with a few Christmas carols, the entire drive (about 20 minutes) to his daycare. It was glorious! The night before that he put a few of them together to make up his own song.
Oliver has also been having a rough time falling asleep at nap time here at home, though there does not seem to be a problem at daycare. There were 4 days in a row last week where he wasted over an hour in his crib before he laid down and slept for his afternoon snooze. One of those afternoons he was standing up and jumping in his crib while yelling, "2, 3, 5, GO!" then would throw out the things in his crib, one by one, onto the floor. It's hard not to chuckle when you hear things like that from the other room.
Our sweet boy is precious and totally loving the Christmas season. We continue to place our focus on Jesus's birth this season through our nightly devotion we have been doing through our family Advent Calendar. Oliver also loves for me to read the Christmas story to him out of the New Testament puzzle book, with a focus on talking about what is in the pictures. I love that our little man is starting to know more about Jesus! My prayer is that he will one day he will realize that a relationship with God is more than just Christmas. I can't wait for the day that he will invite Jesus into his heart to live forever and always.
