12 Week Appointment

The best part of Spring Break, though it only started a few hours ago, was getting to see my little one again. My doctor appointment went fine, including blood work results and weight check. We discussed the nausea and vitamin options, and she was very sympathetic. However, when the doctor tried to find the heartbeat with the doppler, the little one was hiding. Every time she thought she had it, she quickly realized that was not the case. So she said, "I guess we have to do a quick ultrasound. Want to see another picture of your baby?" Sure enough, there's been lots of growth in the last three weeks! The baby was still hiding, though the heart was beating a strong 175 beats per minute. I got to see a profile and legs, but the pictures do not show too much because it was in the fetal position. The picture shows the head to the right and legs to the left. The picture is upside down, but you can almost see the profile with a hand it its face. So here it is, another picture of Carney Child #2!
