This weekend has been so much fun... and it's only halfway over! Last night the Shorts came over for dinner. I enjoyed some girl time with Kristen, just cooking and catching up. Brent and Kyle enjoyed one another's company. And Oliver and Everett played for the majority of three hours, with only two small breaks for supper and dessert. The boys warmed up to each other faster than we'd ever seen before. It was great to see them finally be the best friends we always said they would be. We consider ourselves fortunate to have friends like the Shorts and can't wait until they are in town, or we can make it up to North Manchester, again!
This morning we took a trip to Cincinnati Nature Center to hike with the Hammons Family. We met them in our small group at church and are really enjoying getting to know them better. We hiked about a mile, played in the PlayScape area, and finished our time with lunch at the picnic tables.
