Monday started out with a trip to the Children's Museum with Kelli and Daniel. The adults enjoyed catching up while the boys played. I was really proud of both boys for their patience, especially while they waited for this one kid to get off of the car ride they wanted to enjoy. Our morning ended with lunch in the atrium of the Museum Center.
Tuesday we enjoyed another story time at the library. I'm really hoping we can continue this weekly throughout the remainder of the summer. Wednesday we went to the zoo with Holly, Landry, and Nolan. It was one of the best zoo days! The elephants were playing in the water and the baby giraffe was running in circles. Though these are two favorites, we've never seen either animal so active.
Friday and Saturday Nana, Papa, and Dallas came to visit from North Carolina. Last night we had taco salad for supper, the boys played, and we watched the balloon glow in Independence. This morning we visited the American Sign Museum, had lunch at Chipotle, went to church, and finished our visit with frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf. We had a great visit and can't wait to see them again!
On Sunday UB stayed the night so he could pick up his new horse trailer in Ohio on Monday morning. Oliver loved playing with him! They also watched PeePee Potty Elmo together, at which point UB almost fell asleep in the couch. The visit ended with frozen yogurt on Sunday and pancakes for breakfast. We can't wait to see him again soon too!
