Preparing for Night

On Saturday night we attended "Preparing for Night" at the Cincinnati Nature Center for the second year in a row. This is Brent's favorite fall tradition, and Oliver loved that we were going hiking. Yes, he has started asking to go hiking specifically. That makes the outdoors lovers in Brent and I very happy! The event is set up as 10 stations where you go around and learn about different things about the night, mostly animals. Oliver says his favorite station was where we learned about stars. He even got to look through a telescope at the moon. Other exciting things were our picnic dinner, smelling plants, having black under his eyes like a raccoon, eating out of his own bag of popcorn, hearing a story while manipulating a parachute, and learning about owls and other raptors. We had a great night and can't wait to go again next year!
