YES!

Oliver's word of the week has been "yes!" We heard it for the first time last week when we were shopping at the mall as a family. I took him to the bathroom and asked, "Can I change your diaper, please?" He responded "YES!" so loud that Brent could hear it out in the lobby where he was waiting for us. Since then he agrees to many things. He's been saying "no" for a while, but not in a defiant way. He mostly just repeats "nononono." When he says YES, he's agreeing to things, proving he knows what he's talking about. 

Tonight he did the funniest thing! He tooted loudly and I asked him, "Did you toot?" He looked at me, said "yes", then made a face like it stunk. We all laughed really hard! 

Oliver also repeats a lot of what we say. It's not clear yet, but he's getting there. He's big on "all done" and "more". He also signs both of those pretty consistently. We were never much on the baby signing at first, but since he's learning at school and we're seeing how helpful it is we're encouraging it more.

Another funny thing that happened this week was when Brent walked into the living room on Thursday Oliver was sitting there with the remote and cell phone in his hands, holding them up like a prize! He was also pointing them toward the TV. He's got that all figured out! 

Lastly, Oliver is getting more courageous about walking. Just this morning he and I were at breakfast with some friends and he decided it was time to walk off... down the aisle. Though it was incredibly adorable, we can't let it become a habit.
