On Thursday we had lasagna for supper. The boys played for a while in the living room before baths and bed. Oliver's favorite thing of Everett's was his ball house. He enjoyed throwing the balls, standing up in it, and playing "High 5" from the outside. The two boys did a great job of sharing and playing together. They especially enjoyed running around the house and screaming at the top of their lungs, which we had to put a stop to. During adult time Kristen and I had a time for "girl talk" while Brent and Kyle played a game. Friday after breakfast we headed to the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, and because of the heat were out of there in 2 hours. Some favorite things there were the lions and zebras in the African Safari, feeding the giraffes some lettuce, and watching the sea lions do tricks during their feeding time. After some lunch and delayed naps, which included a bad storm that messed up some trees in the front yard, we ate supper and spent the rest of the evening at the park that's right beside their house. This morning we got up to two grumpy boys (I guess we wore them out!), had breakfast, and headed home.
We are thankful for friends and can't wait to watch Oliver and Everett grow up being best friends!
As best friends, we
go to the zoo,
take turns at the water fountain,
share a snack of Gold Fish and apple juice,
have one of our dads read a book to us,
put together Ms. Potatohead with one of our Moms,
get really tired looks on our faces,
play in and around the ball house,
share lots of laughs,
and hug each other "good-bye" until next time.
