Yesterday Brent worked in order to fill in for a guy who needed off. So Oliver and I ventured to our first fall festival of the season: Country Pumpkins. It's in Crittenden, which is said with a strong country accent on the "den" and in one syllable by the locals. The farm was pretty far out a country road with amazing fall foliage to enjoy along the way. Due to the fact that it is not October yet and we got there early, we were one of the few families enjoying the festivities. There was a Corn Box (like a sandbox, but with corn), Miniature Hay Maze, Corn Maze, Hayride, baby animal petting zoo (complete with a pig), and lots of cows. The farm is one of the only dairy farms in the area and their milk is bought and sold by Kroger. Our favorite part of the adventure was running into the Faris's there. Oliver, Lincoln, and Crew enjoyed chasing and throwing corn at each other. After a fun morning of playing we all ate lunch and headed home for naps.
(The pics are not great because they were all taken on my phone. One day I'll learn to always take the camera...)
