So far November has been super busy at work with quite a few days that I've had to work late. The best thing in the month so far was spending time with my little man on Election Day at the Children's Museum. After a few hours of playing we had lunch at Chipotle and dropped off some with Brent for his lunch too!
This past week has also been interesting for a few reasons. First off, Oliver has not been sleeping well. He's ALWAYS been a great sleeper, but waking up 2-4 times each night crying for no apparent reason that stops the minute you cover him up or enter the room has been exhausting. On Wednesday he even skipped his nap at school. We're not sure what's up, but are staying positive because the last two nights have already been better.
Also, the little guy is definitely starting to push his limits to see what he can get away with. He's still sweet as can be and mostly obedient, but he's been pushing. The latest example was this morning at the grocery store. In order to keep him entertained and busy, we gave him a grocery cart to push and items to put in it as we went along. After about 30 minutes the "fun" began! He wanted the milk in HIS buggy. When we put it in there it was too heavy to push so he just stopped. After we settled the milk dispute then he decided that he was finished grocery shopping and wanted to run around. Well, obviously, this was not going to work so Brent put him in the buggy he was pushing (I was in charge of finding the groceries on the list), which caused a cry fest. So I started pushing the little buggy and ran around as fast as I could with the little buggy for the final 3 items. Brent and I both got some interesting looks from others in the store! We were just glad it was early enough that the store was not crowded. Fun times, indeed!
On a more positive note, Oliver is talking really well these days. We have great conversations! The most recent thing he does is asking for help. It's adorable! He also LOVES attention, which I know he gets from me. We're having a blast playing with him and teaching him so many new things. We're amazed at how fast he learns and can't wait to see it continue!
