Yesterday Brent took the front off of Oliver's crib to turn it into a toddler bed. Oliver even helped! So far he loves his "big boy bed", but does not understand that it is not to play in and that once it's time to sleep you have to stay in it. He loves to go get in it while playing. But getting him to stay in it for naps and at night is quite a challenge so far. Yesterday it took 45 minutes to get him to stay in it for his nap. Last night we were up much more than since he was an infant because he either wanted to get out of his bed, was worried because one of his stuffed animals fell out and he knew he was not supposed to get up to get it, or (only one time) he fell out of the bed. Everybody says it takes three days to make habit... well, we are on day two I suppose.
This morning we woke up to two more inches of snow. Oliver and I went out to play in the snow for a while. We attempted a snowman, but Oliver was not interested in helping. We also made snow angels, which completely freaked him out. Then we threw snowballs, which he loved! His favorite was throwing them at Brent behind the closed front door. I'm working on a list of things for us to do inside this winter... I have a gut feeling we may be in for an interesting winter since we did not get any snow at all last year.
