Witty for a Toddler

Oliver is quite witty these days. Since he started speaking in complete sentences during Spring Break, he is more and more comfortable speaking in general. For instance, he talked my head off all the way to and from school today. He pointed out all of the doors on all of the houses, informed me there was a farm when we passed a white picket fence, and let me know any time he saw the colors blue, red, or white. I am also learning more about what he does at school from him. Today he let me know that he played basketball with Jax and Ms. Maria in the gym by bouncing the ball back and forth. This was followed by a demonstration that demanded my participation. They also watched Mickey Mouse, who played in the rain. I love that he's such a learner and pray this continues.

At home we are learning John 3:16. In less than a week he's gone from repeating words after me to saying most of the verse with me. I'm excited to begin memorizing scripture with him! We also play a lot! Last week I took an idea from Pinterest and we practiced his hand-eye coordination by putting Cheerios on hardened noodles. On Sunday we built an entire city using his train tracks, including a farm, train tracks, and museum. His favorite was making dinner for Elmo and feeding him. Then showing me how Elmo goes potty... even though Oliver himself is not interested in it at all! We are having fun to say the least!
