Each day this week after work and school we have played outside. On Sunday when Brent got home from work we took a family walk to the top of the street and back. Monday afternoon Oliver and I completed the mile loop around our neighborhood with a stop at the playground halfway while Brent mowed the yard. I was very proud of Oliver for walking the entire time! That's a long walk for a little fella, though he did say his feet were hurting by the end. Yesterday Oliver and I met our friend, Bridgett, at Chickfila for free chicken. All we had to do was the chicken dance for the cashiers. After eating Oliver played on the indoor playground for a bit. Once we got home our neighbor, Mike, walked over with his dog to see us and played basketball with Oliver for a few minutes. Mike is one of his buddies that he yells hello to across the backyard regularly, along with Bill and Bailey. Tonight after supper all 3 of us went to UDF for ice cream then drove over to a different park. Since kid-sized cones were on sale he got his own scoop of Superman ice cream for the first time. He loved pointing out the blue, yellow, and pink colors in the cup, and thought pink (strawberry) tasted the best. After we all walked around the loop Oliver played for quite a while on the playground. By the time we got home for his bath each night he smelled like a teenage boy covered in sunscreen and was head to toe in mulch and dirt. Needless to say, he's slept fairly soundly each night!
