On Wednesday night we celebrated Christmas. Oliver was the most excited about the train that PePaw set up and the Christmas decor. He also thoroughly enjoyed playing with UB! The funniest thing was having Oliver pass out gifts. He lined everything up right in the middle of the floor and helped everyone open their gifts. Excitement filled him as everyone discovered what was inside.
On Thursday morning the guys went for a hike in Kennesaw while the girls and Graham hung out at home. Once UB arrived with the fried turkey we ate lunch and all took it easy for the rest of the day. One of the best parts was an enthralling game of "To the Head of the Class" with questions from the late 80s and 90s. None of us were very good at it, but we had tons of fun playing. Graham also enjoyed his first Thanksgiving dressed up as a turkey, though he slept through dinner.
On Friday Pepaw and UB had to work. The first thing that morning was Oliver helping Grammy put up the manger scene. After that the rest of us headed to Macon to visit with Aunt Rita and Uncle Don. Their entire family was together for the holiday weekend as well. Oliver loved playing with MacKenzie; they were like two peas in a pod. After talking the morning away and eating lunch we headed back home. Dinner that night was at Fuddruckers, which Brent and I were really excited about because we don't have any of them in this area. Oliver ate an entire hamburger! After dinner there was a guy making balloon hats, so of course Oliver came home with one. Once back at Grammy and Pepaw's house we played a bit before we bid our farewells to UB. Then we all went to bed.
And Saturday we drove home. Though the drive was quicker than on the way down we ended up making more stops because none of us seemed to need to use the restroom at the same time. Then we had to figure in Graham's feeding times as well since he eats every 3 hours right now.
All in all it was a great trip!
